Engineer and Studio Manager Matthew Leslie recently joined Kiepersol from New York City where he was a Recording Engineer, Mixer and Editor. Most recently Matthew was working at John Marshall Sound, the premiere Audio Book production facility in NYC. While there he worked on Grammy winning Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling. He also worked on Grammy nominated works Giving by Bill Clinton and Things I Overheard While Talking to Myself by Alan Alda.
Prior to his stint in New York City, Matthew spent 5 years in the Sound Recording Technology program at SUNY Fredonia. The SRT program at Fredonia is modeled after the European Tonmeister system in which the graduating Tonmeister is not only proficient in audio recording, but also in Music. This marriage between musician and technician enables the engineer to work well with musicians to achieve their goals in the studio.
